Onsendan (or ansendan, which might be our preferred spelling in eWS) seems a good verb. It is translated "send", "send out" by Sweet, and "send out", "send forth", "transmit", "yield up" by CH.

For the noun, I have two ideas. One is féol (also spelt fíl), which means "file" (but its Anglo-Saxon sense was that of the tool used to smooth rough edges, and has a different etymology from our word "file" as used in computing - the tool being Germanic, the computing word being Latinate).

The other is þrǽd, meaning "thread". This is the original Latin meaning of our word "file" as used in computing. --Rícaheard 13:56, 9 ÆGé 2005 (UTC)
