Rīċemund or Stīðbeorgburh?[adiht fruman]

Given that Richmond is a French-origin name "Richemonde" which means "strong hill" should Richmond be translated as "Stīðbeorgburh" which could be transliterated in Anglo-Saxon to mean "strong hill town" or stay as "Rīċemund", which is essentially "Richmond" being spelled in Old-English pronunciation?
