"Hē is se stede Windlesōran Castles" - Why "Hē"?

- Se = masculine, therefore the generic "it" must also take a masculine form, in this case, "hē." A memory of this convention actually still lives with us in Modern English, when referring to a ship or a nation as "she." —Ƿōdenhelm 18:17, 4 Hrēþmōnaþ 2008 (UTC)
