I have come to notice that "Geugoslafia" unnecessarily uses the unnusual "eu". Not unusable, but pretty foreign. Preferable and historically precedented alternatives are "Iu", "Gio", "Gu" - remember that "g" represented both palatalized "g" and historical palatal "j", and therefore did not need any kind of front vowel in proximity. If no one cares to contend it within days, I will undertake the move.   Ƿes hāl!    18:30, 19 Gēolmōnaþ 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The 'Ge' was just to get the "Yu" sound. I cannot think of any precedent for an anglicised name quite like that, though Jylland, Jutland, might be 'Eotaland', so 'Eogaslafia' or 'Eogaslafland' is vaguely equivalent.
The spelling could change, or call it Sūþwendland or Sūþslafland. Hogweard (talk) 22:18, 21 Gēolmōnaþ 2014 (UTC)[reply]
