Dosen't frogga mean something like "fool" in Old English?

[adihtan fruman]

So, we know the word frog means an amphibian, but it can also mean a overly posh french person and an archaic use for it means something like "Dirty fool". i also heard that in Old English or Middle English it meant something like "Poor fool pretending to be rich" and that's why some mean people call french people "French Frogs". ~2025-31497-88 (talk) 15:01, 5 Blotmonað 2025 (UTC)Reply
